- Appointed on the 'Advisory Committee' of the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Maharashtra State; for implementation of the Bio-Medical Waste Management rules.
- HOPES activities related to environment protection and Biomedical Waste Management were featured on a live television talk show "Hello Sakhi", the Mumbai Doordarshan (Sahyadri channel) that was well accepted by the people.
- Worked with NGOs and hospitals forming a 'pressure group' to bring about changes in the law for bio medical waste management implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Forests. - 1994 -95.
- HOPES is a part of the Bio Medical Waste core committee on implementation of the Bio medical Waste Management Rules of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM)
- Implemented many waste management programs with the objective to reduce the incinerator burden of infectious waste, segregate organic waste & dispose through vermi-culture and remove recyclable material from going to the main stream.

- Invited by The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the apex body representing the interest of the industry, trade and service sectors of the Indian economy for giving presentation on "Planning and Managing Biomedical Waste".
- Attended the training program of Health Care Without Harm, a broad-based international campaign to reform the environmental practices of the health care industry.
- Invited as resource person for seminar on medical waste disposal in Goa, organized by Goa Desc Resource Centre.
